NYFW Nanette Lepore Fashion Show Fall/Winter 2015

It's become pretty much unavoidable that I run into Kelly Rutherford (Serena Van Der Woodsen's mom in Gossip Girl) at Nanette Lepore's fashion shows, and this season, I ended up sitting directly across from her. I figured I would do the usual introduction and snap a selfie, but this time we actually got to talking a bit (made possible by the smaller venue). She definitely knows my name now after we took at least ten pictures together, one in every angle as we tried to get the lighting right. I definitely felt bad about that, but she was a really good sport about it all. And I'm not gonna lie, I had a short lived "fan girl" moment later that day when I posted one of the pictures on Instagram and Kelly Rutherford herself commented on the pic with heart emojis and an excited, "We got it!"...

NYFW Desigual Fashion Show Fall/Winter 2015

If there's one thing about Desigual, it's that you could spot one of their designs from a mile away. Desigual clothing are colorful, bright, and basically scream, "BE HAPPY!" Even the models Desigual casts embody that "be happy" philosophy. Every season a different Victoria's Secret angel opens the show and that angel walks as if she were on the VS runway, twirling, blowing kisses, and flipping her hair. All the models follow her lead, and with party music blasting, the energy in the room is palpable.

Behati Prinsloo opened this season, kicking the show off wearing a structured, yet whimsical green, blue, orange, and yellow printed dress...

NYFW Georgine Fashion Show Fall/Winter 2015

This season marked my second Georgine fashion show and it was an amazing thing being able to see the way Georgine transitioned into the new season, incorporating similar elements from the previous one. Her spring collection was full of metallics and you can say exactly the same about her fall collection. And I am all about the gold, especially that gold shearling jacket that walked the runway -- need...

NYFW Desigual Fashion Show Summer/Spring 2015

The Desigual fashion show always gets me excited because it's basically code for, "You're about to see a Victoria's Secret angel walk." Somehow over the years I've pretty much met every one of the angels, but seeing them walk never gets old.

The first angel I ever met was Lily Aldridge who interviewed me a couple years back at Fashion's Night Out. Then there was Karlie Kloss who opened for the Anna Sui fashion show that changed my life. (Read the story here, if you haven't yet.) I was at the Cell for Gratitude party with Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn, which was probably one of the best nights I've had since becoming a fashion blogger, and I accidentally walked into a Candice Swanoepel meet-and-greet at the Victoria's Secret on 5th Ave. I was yet to see Adriana Lima; however, so I was ecstatic when I heard she would be opening for Desigual this season...

NYFW Nanette Lepore Fashion Show Fall/Winter 2014

Nanette Lepore's Fall/Winter fashion show 2014 exuded femininity and romance, an overall theme this season. Even the vibrant pink backdrop emanated girly vibes. Major trends in the collection included asymmetrical hems, leather accents, fur pieces, plunging v-necklines, longer lengths, and turtlenecks...

NYFW Nellie Partow Fashion Show Fall/Winter 2014

This is probably bad news for the animal lovers out there, but fur has been all over the runway this season, Nellie Partow's show included. She had an incredible oversized wraparound fur collar around one of the model's necks, which was a definite collection highlight to me...

NYFW Bibhu Mohapatra Spring 2014 Fashion Show

The show began promptly at 9AM and I cannot help but wish every morning started with a dose of Bibhu. Known for his spectacular evening wear, I had the incredible experience witnessing Bibhu Mohapatra's gowns walk down the runway. I could not take my eyes off the geometric fractured fabrics and structured floral details...

NYFW Christian Siriano Spring 2014 Fashion Show

Christian Siriano played with florals throughout his collection, using a softer pattern on several ready-to-wear looks (shown above) and a more dramatic sheer floral motif on his evening gowns (shown below). He also incorporated a lot of white into his looks, but brought it to the next level by using ostrich feathers which flowed beautifully down the runway...
