NYFW iijin Fashion Show Fall/Winter 2016

Three days into fashion week and Esther and I were already starting to fade quickly. Our schedule was insane, sleep was minimal and the caffeine was flowing. We decided to only do two shows on Friday, but in the end only went to one because of the exhaustion. The show we saw was by a lesser known show designer called iijin. The theme of the show was punk rock and roll rebel. The hair was messy, the eye makeup heavy and the music was rocking. The trends we spotted were lots of tartan, camo, glitter, fur, leather, studs, and military boots. The vibe was very Avril Lavigne circa 1990s early 2000s. The main event was really the shoes which were clunky, flatformed and big. The style was not something I would wear, but it was definitely something fun to look at. After all long week I can say with full force, "TGIF!"
