NYFW Mathieu Mirano Fashion Presentation Fall/Winter 2016
The second day of Fashion Week was particularly packed for the L&L team. So packed in fact that we only had about 15 minutes for each presentation and even had to leave the John Paul Ataker show before it started in order for me to make Marissa Webb and Batsheva to get to Desigual. Thankfully, 15 minutes was enough time to see the whole Mathieu Mirano presentation, which was definitely a creative one. The models were set up against the back wall in what was essentially a massive sand box. They stood directly on the sand wearing metallic and sequined evening dresses and there were live tortoises walking between them! The whole theme was very western with a sunset background and fake rocks set up on the sand. The main colors I saw were red, orange, and maroon, but my eyes were mostly on the fringe and metallics.
