White Bow Blouse + Grey Plaid Skirt // 5 Tips To Meet Your Deadlines

Regardless if you’re a blogger or 9-5 office worker, deadlines are always present and it’s not easy to meet them. Especially with the holiday season, I had extremely tight deadlines and many coinciding ones. Just the other week, I actually had a photo due every single day. I was working double time just to keep my feed consistent throughout, posting filler photos between sponsored ones and editing for much longer than otherwise necessary. All this took place while I was at the office most of the day working a freelance job. Needless to say, I was very busy, so here are the 5 tips that helped me meet every deadline.

  1. Prioritize.
Before anything else, figure out what projects need your attention first and tackle them accordingly.

  2. Organize.
Write down exactly what needs to get done and all the steps necessary to accomplish each task. If you need to pick up supplies or schedule a meeting in order to complete anything on your list, make a note. Don’t leave even the smallest assignment to memory. Let your mind focus on the bigger picture.

  3. Keep a Calendar.
Some people work best with phone reminders, but I like to use a paper planner. Write down the deadline as well as the day you need to start working on something.

  4. Create Nightly Progress Reports.
Every night before bed, see where you’re holding on all your projects and make a plan of action for the following day.

  5. Be Realistic.
Even the most organized person can only handle so much, so make sure you can handle the workload before agreeing to take on any new projects. If you’re not in the position to opt out of an assignment, follow steps 1-4 and good luck!
