NYFW Georgine Fashion Show Summer/Spring 2015
This season marks the second time I've been lucky enough to witness a Georgine fashion show. Georgine's ready to wear spring/summer 2015 collection was 70's inspired and embraced summer at its finest.
The collection had a strong focus on metallics, reminding me of, "I dream of Jeannie," a Nick at Nite show that used to come on way past my bedtime. Georgine used solid metallic fabrics to create every type of silhouette, from pants and skirts to swimsuits and caftans. I don't believe there are better words to describe this collection than those of Ndoema from The Global Girl. She described Georgine's "evening-wear-inspired swimwear" to be "an ode to the Saint-Tropez jet-set goddess."
My favorite look was this all white pant suit ensemble with sheer square detailing. I could see myself wearing this while vacationing in the Hamptoms.
The following two shots tie for second for my next favorite look. I am particularly eyeing the netted caftans the models are wearing. I cannot decide whether I prefer it in black and long or short and white.
