NYFW Beaufille Fashion Presentation Fall/Winter 2016
I headed over to the standard hotel downtown for the Beaufille presentation. The hotel was decorated super quirky with modern furniture, space age elevators and exposed carved wood everywhere. I was escorted to the third floor where I walked into a long wood paneled room. The models were positioned on the right hand side of the room, sitting and standing on and around interesting pieces of furniture. The clothing style was very modern with extreme bell bottom cropped pants, chokers, wide collars, drapery knits and A-line silhouettes. The colors were mostly neutral with pops of red here and there.
My favorite pieces were made out of what can only be described as a spaghetti looking fabric. The designer sisters, Paris and Chloe, told me the fabric was in-house made. The method to creating the unique fabric was embroidering the yarn and soaking it in a solution. They described the line as not honing from any inspiration because that felt confining, but explained that this line further defines the Beaufille woman. The collection was very interesting and different, something I'm always excited to see in fashion.
