NYFW Desigual Fashion Show Fall/Winter 2016

For the past couple days I have only seen fashion presentations, but today, I was able to go to my first real runway fashion show- Desigual. I had been having an insane day and, of course, my phone decided to completely die as I walked into the building. (I literally had to buy a new one after the show.) I sat down and waited anxiously for the show to start. Finally, the lights started to dim and the music started blaring. I could feel it in my chest and vibrating my seat. The models started walking out and you could feel the energy coursing through the massive room. The clothing was all very colorful with bright patterns and lots of layers. There was a mix of eras that could definitely be seen in the collection, from the 20’s with snoods and draping fur, to go-go boots, A- line dresses and page boy hats a la 70’s. The 80’s and 90’s even made an appearance. There were so many looks and so much to see, and I was so sad when the show had to come to an end. There were lots of celebrities and industry leaders, but I had to run and get to the next shows. It was truly an amazing experience and I am so lucky I got to go.
