Isabel Marant Pour H&M Collection
After the intense anticipation that swept over the world in light of the Isabel Marant pour H&M collection, I cannot believe I did not post about this sooner. For the past month, I have been coveting the much-talked-about collection, especially after seeing posts from the Beckerman Sisters sporting the clothes before the line launched. With all the hype, I knew the collection had to be out of control amazing, and it definitely did not disappoint.
November 15, Thursday morning, at 9AM, H&M was already crawling with people ready to shop the Isabel Marant line. For us early risers, workers handed out Starbucks coffee and croissants. I initially hesitated entering the H&M mosh pit madness, but rumors of the collection disappearing in a New York minute forced me to reconsider.
Lucky for me, I work next door so was able to use my lunch break to wait in line as the sales associates allowed 30 people into the gated area at a time at 15 minute intervals. I immediately went for the jackets, a decision I made after reading a piece of advice somewhere in the blogosphere insisting that they were the highlight of the collection and most worth the money.
I became instantly enamored with this silver wool bomber jacket covered in a gorgeous textured motif. Without even trying it on, I knew it was the piece I wanted to bring home. My mind became even more set, if possible, when I realized the jacket is reversible and can be turned inside out to show a beautiful silk purple snakeskin pattern. I am also obsessed with the fact that when the snakeskin side is up, the collar and cuffs remain the silver fabric. LOVE.
Shortly after I bought the jacket, bloggers such as the Beckerman Sisters, Man Reppeler, and Song of Style posted photos of themselves wearing the same one. I also found out it is being sold for $400+ on Ebay, so yep, I definitely chose right.
Needless to say, I highly recommend the Isabel Marant pour H&M collection.
