My Nightly Skincare Routine // Shop My Favorite Products
Awhile back, I rounded up the products I use every morning in a post called My Daily Skincare Routine. Now this post is all about the ones I use before bed. I’m no skincare expert, but I always learned it’s important to switch up the products you use during the night versus the day since your skin comes in contact with different variables while you’re out and while you sleep. During the day, you need to protect your skin against the sun and pollution, but at night, you need to focus on moisturizing and repairing your skin. I haven’t yet perfected my routine to include every product I should be using, but these are my current favs that I use every night.
Eye Makeup Remover: Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes & Lips
More than anything else, it is so important to remove your makeup before bed, especially eye makeup. Leaving mascara on will weaken your lashes and even cause them to break over time.
Precleanse: Dermalogica Precleanse Balm
I use this pre-cleanse to completely remove my makeup since fash wash never fully gets it off.
Face Wash: Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Foam Wash
I’m a huge Dermalogica fan and I love how this one helps with breakouts.
Gentle Peel: Dr G Brightening Peeling Gel
This peel is super gentle and I still get amazed at the results every time I use it (about once a week). A little goes a long way, but the product literally scrubs away dead skin. Just make sure to avoid the area around your eyes.
Toner: Indie Lee CoQ-10 Toner
This toner is super refreshing and I love how it’s all natural.
Eye Cream: Clarins Super Restorative Total Eye Concentrate
I’m 28, so a good eye cream is vital and this one targets fine lines, which is exactly what I need right now.
Moisturizer: Huxley Secret of Sahara Anti-Gravity Cream
This moisturizer is incredible. It makes my skin extremely soft and hydrated, but it’s very thick, so I generally only use it before bed,
Lip mask: Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
This lip mask not only smells good, but makes me wake up with super soft lips.
Sleeping Mask: Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask
I don’t always use this watermelon sleeping mask, but when I do, my skin thanks me. The texture took me a little while to get used to since it’s extremely water based and goes on like jelly and the smell is pretty strong, but the benefits are amazing. It absorbs into your skin fairly quickly so you forget you’re wearing it and you wake up with the most soft and hydrated skin.
