Yellow Ruffled Jacket Over Black Dress

Yellow has already been established as the "it" color for summer/spring 2015 (see my NYFW coverage for proof), but I can't exactly wait that long before jumping on the yellow trend. I actually bought this amazing ruffled collar jacket from my cousin while visiting her in Connecticut. The weather was still nice and we spent most of the weekend poolside, the other hours spent inside her apartment rummaging through boxes of her old clothes. This jacket was probably the greatest find, along with a pair of silver Brian Atwoods that I fell in love with, but had to leave behind due to the fact that they were a size too big.

One of the best parts about preparing for these blog photoshoots is finding new ways to wear old things, which is especially true in this case. I wanted to highlight the jacket in this post so I wore it over a simple black dress, but it would also look amazing with a navy dress or jeans.
