I recently took to Instagram and asked my audience what they wanted to see on my blog and one of the requested topics was more about me, so I decided to include some of the specific questions I got into a little Q&A.

How old are you?
I’m 28. My birthday is October 2nd and I am a classic libra (friendly and extremely indecisive).

Where are you from?
I’m from St. Louis, Missouri, where I lived until I was 17.

Where did you go to college?
I started college in Paris, but finished off at Touro in NYC. I never intended to study in Paris, but while there on vacation, I fell in love with the city, so decided to stay. I was never planning to come back to America, but after many long discussions with one of my professors, I realized I had no future in fashion as an American in Paris, so I came to New York. I looked into FIT, but as none of my credits would transfer, rather than start again, I decided to complete my degree at Touro.

What did you do before blogging?
I started my blog while in my last semester of college, so my entire career essentially took place post-blog. My first job was in fashion merchandising. I then moved into marketing for a party supplies company and then transitioned into the beauty space, which was by far my favorite industry.

Are you a full-time blogger?
Yes, but I do freelance work on the side. Projects always vary, but I’m extremely selective what I take on as I will only work for brands I’m passionate about.

What made you start blogging?
I was living across from Lincoln Center and every season, I would see the New York Fashion Week tents go up. I hated being the girl on the outside looking in, so on the last day, before the last show of the season, I texted my friend to meet me at the tents. Long story short, we crashed the Anna Sui fashion show. It was absolutely magical, so that night I went home and said, “I’m starting a blog and next season I’m getting invited.” So I did.

What’s the hardest part about blogging?
While blogging may look fun and easy, it’s far from it and comes with so many struggles. Here are my top three.

  1. Shooting in the cold weather.
Standing outside with no coat while posing for the camera is HARD, like really hard.

  2. The competition. There are so many bloggers out there, with new ones popping up every day, which means you’re competing against thousands of other people and you constantly need to up your game and fight for jobs. It also means companies want to pay less or not at all since they can always find someone else who will work for free.

  3. Editing. Not every blogger agrees, but most believe it’s very important to have consistent looking photos, which is a lot harder than it sounds and sometimes takes me hours per photo.

How did you meet your husband?
My cousin set us up. We initially didn’t hit it off and called it quits after a few dates, but a year later, we reconnected and have been together ever since.

What’s your exercise regime?
Unfortunately, I don’t have one. I’m about as lazy as it gets when it comes to exercise and the only classes I’ve ever been to were at blogger events.

What’s your skincare routine?
I’m a skincare junkie. My routine changes constantly as I love trying new products, but I’ve been doing my best to add more skincare focused posts to the blog. Feel free to check out My Daily Skincare Routine and My Nightly Skincare Routine for some of my current favs.

What’s your holy grail beauty product?
If I could only choose one, it would hands down be my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade.

What are your favorite NYC restaurants?
I’m super boring and predictable when it comes to food. I go to the same restaurants and order the same thing every. single. time. I go out. Here are my favs:

  1. Le Marais. I’ve been going since college. The steak never disappoints and I love the ambiance on the second floor. If you’re wondering, my go-to order is the entrecote steak with a double side of fries.

  2. My Most Favorite Food. I usually prefer a steakhouse, but when I’m in the mood for dairy, this is where I like to go. My order is the fettuccine alfredo with salmon and broccoli. I’ve been going for years and have never gotten anything else. Told you I was boring.
