Stripes and Sandals // M4D3 Shoes

Sandal season has arrived and I’ve already started stocking up. As a blogger, my life is a never-ending stream of work and events, so I am always in need of a comfortable pair of shoes. Just last week I had 6 events, and the last thing I was about to do was run around the city in heels, so I basically lived in these sandals.

My favorite event of the 6 I went to was definitely not your typical blogger party. It was a Nick Jonas x Altec Lansing event to celebrate the launch of their headphone and speakers collab. Besides the fact that it was a Nick Jonas party, I was especially excited because it was the first event I was invited to that I thought my boyfriend might actually like. I tried bringing him to a beauty expo the other month, but I got the feeling he didn’t enjoy himself so much since he disappeared at least three times to the bar lol. I’m sure the 10 people who asked him if he was only there to carry my bags didn’t help either.

The event took place at a bar called Up & Down. There was the usual open bar, a “make your own music video” photo booth, a listening station to try out the new headphones, and an appearance by none other than Nick Jonas himself. Nick did not look particularly happy and he actually canceled the performance we had all been promised, but it was still fun to party with the celebs. Model Nyle DiMarco from America’s Next Top Model was also there. He was sweet, but as I’ve learned from going to these kinds of parties, it’s much more socially appropriate to hang out with the celebrities rather than start taking photos with them.
