Jill Stuart Fashion Presentation Fall/Winter 2017
Jill Stuart was my first event of the day and also my favorite. Her collection was debuted through a presentation in a marbled, sky-high ceiling venue. It set the mood for a dark, lustrous and feminine collection that oozed elegance.
She played off an 1860’s European vibe by implementing pieces that included large ruffled skirts and oversized bows. She modernized the collection by implementing sheer pieces, understated florals, polka dots and sequins. The color palette of golds, blacks, nudes, shades of red and dark purple added to the the glamour. Jill used this same color palette in her FW16 collection, but man does it work. This season though, she really wowed the crowed with her use of tonal ruffles and sheer paneling. Her collection was mesmerizing, and frankly, I can’t get enough.
