NYFW Dennis Basso Fashion Show Fall/Winter 2016
The mere fact that we gave Dennis Basso a standing ovation should tell you just how incredible his collection was. Every look was better than the last, delicate lace slips layered with heavy furs, plunge v-neck metallic jumpsuits, jewel encrusted gowns... The embellishments were unreal and I literally want to bury myself in every single fur coat that walked. Dennis' dresses were glam to the max, especially the ones he paired with long leather gloves and fur stoles.
Without Batsheva by my side today, I decided to make some new friends between shows. I started the day mingling over coffee in the E VIP lounge, then made my way over to the TRESemmé salon where I got my hair braided by hair genius Gabriel, and ended the afternoon sitting front row at Dennis Basso with my new stylist/blogger friend Mary. It's 4PM, but I say afternoon because I've still got 3 shows to go. My new friend Mary and I headed backstage after the show which was a brand new experience for me. It was a huge space with clothing racks, a photo board showcasing the entire model lineup, a makeup and hair section, and swarming paparazzi. I congratulated Dennis Basso on the show and then introduced myself to celebrity stylist June Ambrose, who apparently already knew who I was. It was definitely fun to see the post-show insanity while still on a high from one of the most fabulous collections I've seen so far this Fashion Week.
