NYFW Saunder Fashion Presentation Fall/Winter 2016

When Esther and I arrived at the Saunder presentation, everyone was standing around a giant roped off circle watching three women dance around in white dresses and extreme purple eye makeup. After a few minutes the dance ended and the models came out. The models proceeded to walk around the edges of the circle, stopping when they reached their marks. Since it was a presentation, we were able to walk the circle and take photos of the amazing looks. After some mingling and some killer shots, we walked over to the designer, Emily Saunder, to talk about her inspiration for the collection. Emily said her presentation was inspired by the mythical creature, the minotaur. She also said the vibe she was going for was 60's meets 70's meets Rock and Roll glam. There were lots of metallics, yellows, knee socks, bright colors, feathers and big teased out crimped hair. The presentation was very different than the usual, and something that will definitely be talked about.
