New Year's Inspired Makeup Look Tutorial By Tami

Hello my gorgeous girlies!

I hope you all had a fabulous New Years, I know I did! Even though New Years has come and gone and now we are well in 2014, I thought I would still share the look that I wore out. I wanted something more dramatic, with a bold lip and bold eyes. That rule about having to choose one or the other just doesn’t apply on New Years (or any other day for that matter #WerkIt).

I’m going to quickly run through my face makeup first. You will notice a theme with my makeup application. I mix products to create the best product for my skin, but feel free to play around and find what works for you.

To start, I mixed my two favorite long wearing foundations, the CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1, and the Revlon Colorstay Whipped foundation. For my concealer I used my CoverGirl+Olay Eye rehab first, then my Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer in the shades brightener and fair. For those of you who don’t know, I take under eye concealer very very seriously. I set all of that with my Rimmel stay matte powder and my MAC mineralized skin finish.

I contoured my face using my Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer and blended that out using the NYC bronzer in Sunny. I used my new blush from MAC in the color At Dusk (quick, this is limited edition and is the most beautiful dusty pink mauve-y color, perfect for a natural face look or when you have a lot going on the eyes and lips). I highlighted my cheekbones with my MAC skinfinish in Whisper of Gilt.

As for the eyes, I used my new Too Faced A Few Of My Favorite Things palette. After applying a primer, I used the color Chocolate Milk in the crease. Then I placed Crisp Apple Strudel on the lid and Tinsel right on the center for a little more shimmer. I put a hint of Woolen mittens in the crease and a drop of Soiree in the outer corner. For my highlight I used a matte shade in Cream Colored Ponies. I tight lined my water line with a black pencil eyeliner, and winged out my lash line with my Stila Stay All Day liquid liner. After that, I put on way too much mascara. Please, as if there’s such a thing.

I really wanted a bold berry lip, so I lined my lips with the NYX lip liner in Prune, used the Fergie Wet n' Wild lipstick in Ferguson Crest Cabernet, and fixed up the edges with my NYX Wonder Pencil in medium.

Not too many products, right?  What can I say? I really do have a beauty addiction… and I love it! Hope you guys do too!

Xoxo you gorgeous girls!
