Turn Up The Volume by TRUHAIR Product Review

Today I am coming to you with a product that the people at TRUHAIR so generously sent me to try out. Turn up the Volume is a new volumizing and thickening mist. A lot of you made comments on my previous post, Introducing beauty expert Tami Lesser, about liking my hair (many many thanks!) and one of my tips and tricks is using a volumizing spray. Coincidentally, I had just run out of the product I was using when this spray came into my life, so I decided to give it a try.

At first glance, I was a bit skeptical because the formula looks like straight up oil, something I would cut off my right arm for before putting it on my roots. However, after using the Turn up the Volume spray and blowdrying my hair, I was surprised that it left no residue at all. It was literally undetectable, unlike other sprays which give your roots a weird hairspray-like texture. I also like that the spray is alcohol free and has Vitamin E since many similar sprays can be quite drying. Bonus: it doubles as a heat protectant! The only downside is its interesting scent. I just wished it smelled better since I am putting it in my hair.

As far as the actual finish it has on my hair, this spray is not going to give you volume a la Snookie, but if you are looking for subtle volume like I am, I highly recommend this product. I also find that it does not leave a great amount of buildup in your hair, which is awesome if you like to go a day or two without washing your hair...me again!
