With the unfortunate demise of Fashion's Night Out, it has become my self-appointed mission to make up for all the lost networking opportunities by attending every NYC fashion event possible. Invited or not. See Fashion Week Crashing.

I attended The Ultimate Prom Night hosted by Teen Vogue and Topshop last year, so when I received my e-vite last week, I knew it was an event I could not miss!

The night's festivities included complimentary hairstyling, manicures, makeovers, a fully stocked candy bar, and a DJ. I learned from last year to make beauty appointments immediately, so my friends and I signed up as soon as we arrived.

The sweetest woman gave me a fun pink glitter manicure and my memory shocked even myself when I recognized the other manicurist as the woman who did my nails during Fashion Week at the Allure pop-up shop. Small world.

My friend and I got our hair done next. The stylist made me a hair crown.

I had the amazing experience of speaking with Teen Vogue's senior fashion market editor Mary Kate Steinmiller after her presentation of the hottest prom trends. I also met one of the writers for Cosmopolitan which was an absolute pleasure.
