Ribbed Black Jumpsuit + Leather Jacket
{Random Thoughts} A while back, Lena Dunham wrote an article about her IVF experience, which quite upset many of us in the infertility community. She mocked the silly traditions and all the pineapple paraphernalia, but what really got me is how she described the waiting room as a place for rich old men and their white trophy wives. I’m not sure what clinic she went to, but for me, the waiting room taught me that infertility doesn’t discriminate. I saw people of all different ages, races, and color skin walk through that door and I can guarantee that while some of the people there were indeed rich, others went into debt accessing treatments and many more probably took out loans.
The point is, it doesn’t matter how rich or famous you are or what race you were born into… infertility doesn’t discriminate. 1 in 8 couples suffer and if there’s anything to learn from that, it’s that you are not alone.
