Styling XOXO For Spring
Living in NYC is expensive enough, so I’m all about affordable fashion and XOXO’s new spring collection is adorable. The pieces are feminine, colorful, and comfortable -- my three favorite qualities right now. I went through a neutral, edgier phase for awhile, but I have been having so much fun playing around with color these days that I’m not sure I can ever go back. In fact, I loved this baby blue Colorblocked Cold-Shoulder Dress so much, I got it in two other colorways, sunshine yellow and a black/white combo. No doubt I’ll be wearing the yellow one next.
I can’t even remember the last time I wore baby blue, so I got really excited about this dress. It’s such a beautiful shade, the fabric feels thick and high quality, and the structured fit is so flattering. I decided to pair it with my new XOXO Lazaro Platform Wedge Sandals, which are the perfect neutral shoe. Not only do they match absolutely everything, but the wedge makes them super comfortable. Another pair I picked up from the collection is the Baxter Strappy Block-Heel Sandals, which I got in black and tan. I was originally planning to wear one of those options with the dress, but the wedges won in the end.
After finding my favorite dress and shoes from the collection, I went on a major swimsuit haul. Cannot wait for summer to try out all the different options, although my favorite is hands down the white one piece with a ruched top, colorful stitching, and little pom pom sleeves. So cute! In close second, is the XOXO white one-piece with symmetrical cutouts down the front.
