Striped Tee, Khaki Skirt, + ASOS Sunnies
As I’m sure you all know by now, my husband and I will be traveling to Europe on our honeymoon this June. I am BEYOND excited, but I still have a lot to do in terms of planning the trip, and don’t even get me started on my wardrobe. I’m an extremely light packer and part of what allows me to be that way is that I prepare all my outfits ahead of time based on my itinerary. While our honeymoon will definitely not be focused on photoshoots, when in Europe, take blog photos, right? So not only do I have to prepare two weeks worth of versatile looks that can all fit into a carry-on, but I also have to create interesting outfits that will photograph well. Needless to say, I’ve got my work cut out for me over the next two months, but at least I’ve already figured out my sunglasses situation.
At the top of my vacation packing list is always at least two pairs of sunglasses and ASOS has some seriously amazing options right now, from trendy cat-eye lenses to classic circle Ray-Bans. I generally opt for smaller frames to fit my small face, but I wanted to play around with shape, so I snagged these New Look Small Round Sunglasses that I’m wearing in these photos. They’re fun, on trend, and were only $13, so I grabbed a second pair of pink tinted sunglasses to have a more basic pair for my trip and I’ve already been wearing them all week.
ASOS is constantly updating their site with new options, so I’ll be checking back multiple times before we leave, because I plan on bringing a lot more than two pairs of sunglasses on our honeymoon. While my husband has definitely helped me out a bunch of times by taking my photos, he is definitely not my photographer, nor does he want to be. That means I’ll have to be super considerate when asking him to take my pictures while in Europe. He has no idea how to adjust camera settings, there will always be swarms of tourists blocking our clear shot, and I’m not always thrilled with how I look in photos. The easiest fix: Sunglasses. They make shooting 1,000x easier.
I decided pretty early on not to shoot in sunglasses very often as a way to brand my face, but I will definitely be pulling out all my pairs while on our honeymoon. With sunglasses, I’ll feel more comfortable in front of the camera which will help my husband get the shot quicker which will mean less time shooting and more time eating our way through Paris. So ASOS, thanks in advance for eliminating what could have been a lot of photoshoot frustration.
