Getting Winter Ready With Macy's // Lace-Up Fur Booties + Beaded Beanie

I’m a summer gal all the way, but living in NYC means enduring brutal winters, so I headed over to Macy’s last week to prepare for colder days. My first stop was the shoe department. After being completely mesmerized by UGG’s sequin collection, I walked around the floor to check out some other boot options. Sorel’s selection had me wanting to go dog sledding in Alaska with their heavy-duty, yet stylish build. The Michael Kors boots I tried on had me really feeling the winter trends, but these DKNY lace-up fur booties had me sold. I instantly fell in love with the cozy interior and block heel. I always gravitate towards comfortable shoes since NYC life includes a whole lot of walking, but not wanting to sacrifice height, I love how these combine the two. Major plus that they’re black since they match almost everything.
Since Macy’s has the best cold weather accessories, I then made my way over to the hats. I had a lot of fun trying on a bunch of styles, but I ended up settling on this black beaded beanie for the pretty beading detail and the snug fit. It came in other colors too, but I figured the black would go perfectly with my new shoes. My second choice was an adorable navy newsboy cap, which I may just have to go back to the store for next week.
What I love most about winter accessories is that they can completely elevate your outfit. You can take a plain coat and add a fur stole to create an elegant vibe or throw on a rainbow scarf to make it playful. A newsboy hat can turn your look trendy and a beanie can make it instantly cozy. The best part is you can switch it up every day of the week.
