SOS Face Masks // Clarins

I’m sitting at home watching Bomb Cyclone from my window, so figured now would be the absolute best time to give Clarin’s SOS masks a try. I’ve absolutely loved every Clarins product that I’ve gotten my hands on so far, so I’m not surprised that I’m a fan of their masks as well, especially the SOS Hydra Refreshing Hydration Mask, or what I may start referencing as “the blue bottle.” It’s really important to mask in order to deep clean your pores and give your skin a refresh, so I do my best to mask about once a week. Thankfully, my skin is pretty clear, so I generally choose masks geared towards hydration. The winter is pretty brutal against our skin, plus I wear makeup most days, so I could always use some extra moisture.

While I am promoting all 3 Clarins SOS masks, my review will be focused on their SOS Hydra Mask, as it was my favorite. The formula is a cream-gel with leaf of life extract, so it’s very gentle and soothing. I put on a light layer for 10 minutes and my skin instantly felt refreshed and more awake. What’s different about this mask is that you can actually see and feel it absorbing into your skin, as opposed to others which merely sit on your face and only work on the surface. This mask means business and the moisture goes deep.

I realized midway through writing this post that my love for “the blue bottle” probably stems from the fact that my favorite moisturizer is Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Silky Cream, which may as well be part of the same collection based on their similar packaging and hydrating effects. There is honestly no better combo than the SOS Hydra Mask followed by the Hydra-Essential moisturizer and I can attest to that. Try one, try all, but please let me know your thoughts in the comments!
