One Shoulder Dress // Jay Godgrey

I’ve been so addicted to cold shoulders lately, but I decided to give the one shoulder look a try. It’s a completely new style for me, but I think I’m in love. The full kimono sleeve definitely helped lure me to try it on, and I’m so happy I did because this dress is absolutely gorgeous. I’ve been a fan of Jay Godfrey’s work ever since I starting attending his Fashion Week presentations 3 years ago, and after swooning over his designs for so long, I’m so happy to say I’m now the proud owner of his Marino Navy Kimono Dress. Now all I need is a gala invite so I can wear this baby out.

This photoshoot was one of my favorites because I got to explore a completely new area. My photographer, Ingrid Hong, made the suggestion to shoot by Columbia University and it was picture perfect (also fairly empty since it’s summer). Sadly, Ingrid moved to London this week, but our last shoot together was incredible, and the UK is seriously lucky to have her.

New York Fashion Week is almost here, and I cannot wait to see what’s in store for Jay Godfrey Spring/Summer 2017! Until then, stay tuned for another Jay Godfrey look coming soon to the blog.
