Alter Ego Lip Liners // Lorac
Take just one minute to look at my blog photos and you’ll notice I’m never without a pop of lip color. That’s because I’m a lip liner fanatic. I rarely even wear lipstick on top since I love that bold, matte look. Before now, I had only ever used Lorac eye shadows, but I figured if their Alter Ego Lip Liners are even half as good, I’m in good hands.
My first impression of the lip liners is that they are extremely creamy, which makes them go on perfectly smooth. They’re also highly pigmented and long lasting. I wore the darkest shade, Dominatrix, at a recent photoshoot and it lasted from morning until evening without any retouching. Of the three lip liners I tried, Socialite, Goddess, and Dominatrix, my favorite is hands down, Dominatrix. Socialite is the perfect nude, Goddess is the prettiest shade of pink, but Dominatrix gives you a deep burgundy pop.
The liners are in retractable pencil form, which is something I always look for before I travel since it makes doing touch-ups while standing on a volcano in Greece much easier. (Yes, that happened.) Even when commuting to and from work, I prefer a retractable lip liner so I don’t have to go searching through my bag for a sharpener. I also happen to lose most of my makeup sharpeners, leaving me to resort to ones you may just find in a second grader’s backpack.
There are 10 different colors in the collection and I now have my eye on the Jet Setter shade, which is a vibrant fuscia. Which is your favorite?
