All About My Day With Reebok and Nina Dobrev

I feel like I’m always talking about THE greatest blogging event I’ve ever been to, but Reebok’s Ultimate Staycation may take the cake. I received an email invite about a full day workout event that would be hosted by the newest Reebok brand ambassador, a huge A-list celebrity. The agenda included styling sessions, brunch, a musical performance, and a workout like no other. I generally turn down all workout class invites, but I was intrigued, mostly by which celebrity would be the new face of Reebok. The brand also offered a car service there and back, so I had no excuse not to go.

A car picked me up at 10:55AM on the dot and we headed to the William Vale hotel in Brooklyn. The second I arrived, I was led to a massive suite where I was outfitted in the latest Reebok gear from head to toe. I missed the morning Les Mills rooftop Bodyflow session, but I got there just in time for brunch. There was a long buffet filled with coffee, cereals, granola, fruit, and everything you could possibly want to eat before an intense GRIT workout. I can’t say I was so focused on the food though because when I walked into the room, Nina Dobrev was on the mic talking about how happy she was to be joining the Reebok family. Little backstory here, I LOVE The Vampire Diaries (it’s up there with Gossip Girl and Grey’s Anatomy), so I could not have been more excited with Reebok’s new celebrity ambassador.

Nina is absolutely gorgeous in person and if she was wearing makeup that day, it was definitely minimal. She was real, down to earth, and super passionate about living a healthy lifestyle. Her best friends were at the event as well, and you could tell how close they are, all clearly into fitness, having fun, and taking selfies.

After brunch, we boarded a bus which took us to the Hudson River. We then got on a boat which brought us to a barge. The barge was set up with individual platforms, weights, and towels. The DJ in the corner blasted music and we all got pumped as we chose our spots. Nina and her besties claimed the front section of the barge next to the instructors and I tried to find a space in the middle where I wouldn’t be as visible to all the cameramen and drones surrounding us.

The workout was insane and everyone was sweating hard. As the barge took us around the Hudson River, we lifted weights and jumped over platforms in 92 degree weather. A bunch of us had to sit for a bit towards the end because of the heat. I think I went through 4 water bottles.

When we got back to the hotel, there were tables covered with snacks, including tons of KIND Bars, which are my favorite. I grabbed a couple, then headed down to my awaiting car. Seriously best day ever. Thank you so much for including me, Reebok!

xx Esther
