The Best Gift I've Ever Received As A Blogger // Estee Lauder
The blogger life has mad perks, and the free stuff is definitely up there on the list. I’ve received everything from phone chargers to $500 bags to third row Nick Jonas/Demi Lovato concert tickets. I literally have a closet full of at least twenty different shampoos, fifteen moisturizers, ten face masks, and three hair straighteners that companies have surprised me with over the last few months. I’ve even been sent detergent and doggie treats, and I don’t even have a dog. The best package I ever received though was from Estee Lauder.
I went out of town for a week last April, and when I came back, my doorman was ecstatic because apparently a box had come for me that took up the entire mailroom. He had been maneuvering around it for days, unsure what to do since I hadn’t given him my return date. He could not have been happier to rid himself of the package and I had never been so excited to receive anything. The box was HUGE, at least 7x the size of the actual contents. It was also heavy and I had to wheel it to my apartment on a dolly. I receive a lot of packages, and I knew to expect one from Estee Lauder, but I had no idea the box would be big enough for a roll up mattress. I could not wait to rip it open!
Presentation is everything and lying in a mound of tissue paper was this giant hard plastic square casing filled with the entire Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy collection. That's 130 lipsticks! The packaging was perfect with two layers of lipsticks, ranging from nude to dark brown. The various shades also came in different finishes, my favorite being matte, and there was an entire section of lip glosses too. I never had so much fun going through color after color, swatching them on my arm, and mixing them on my lips. I’m a beauty junkie and I was on cloud 9.
There’s no way I can wear that many colors, so I hoarded my favorites and now hand the rest out as souvenirs to my Estee Lauder addicted friends. Before sharing the wealth; however, I just had to photograph all the lipsticks together so you could see the full effect.
