Rachel James // L&L Blogger Spotlight

After two years of talking about starting the L&L Blogger Spotlight segment, I finally took the plunge and decided to launch! To kick off the series, I reached out to Rachel James, a minimalistic Australian blogger with the most perfect Instagram feed and killer style, to answer some fashion questions about current trends and favorite pieces. I've been following Rachel for quite awhile now, every day inspired by her pretty flatlays and travel shots, so I'm super excited to be featuring her here on Louboutins & Love!

1. Describe your personal style. What are the key pieces to your look?
   Simple, classic, monochrome. Key pieces are a leather jacket, distressed skinny jeans and a baby pink coat.

2. What trends are you most excited for this season?
   I'm loving everything with flared sleeves at the moment.

3. What trend would you love to make disappear?
   I wouldn't say I want it to disappear, as some girls can look amazing in them, but I just can't get on board with flared jeans. I have short legs and they just look ridiculous on me.

4. What is your favorite item in your closet and why?
   My J-Brand dark grey distressed jeans - I searched all over the US for them when on holiday 2 years ago and finally found them. I've been wearing them constantly since then. They're amazingly comfortable and flattering.
   Also, my pale pink Celine trio - I found this at a consignment store in Tokyo and just had to take it home. It's the perfect addition to a monochrome outfit and has such lovely memories attached to it.

5. What is your favorite part about being a fashion blogger?
   Getting to work with brands that I love and connecting with such talented and like-minded bloggers all over the world.
