My New Look // Fresh Cut & Color
This past week has been all about New York Fashion Week prep. I’ve been organizing my insane schedule of shows, preparing outfits, and doing some major pampering. After growing my hair for the last 6 months, I was in dire need of a new look, so Butterfly Studio and Marie Lou & D were kind enough to give me a complete refresh.
I started the week at Butterfly Studio Salon for a fresh cut. The salon is located in Flat Iron and has a really modern vibe to it with fun pops of orange. Jenn Penny was my hair stylist and she was absolutely incredible! The only thing I had to tell her was how much of the length I wanted to chop because she knew exactly what would look good on me. She also helped eliminate some of the weight in my hair, which has made styling it 10x easier. Jenn was a pleasure to talk with and she even let me play around with the salon’s selfie light post haircut.
After the chop, I was ready for some highlights, so I went over to Marie Lou & D salon where I was introduced to hair genius Patrick Prinzo. The salon is located in Soho and I was enamored by its Parisian inspired interior. I also loved the fact that it’s a full service salon that offers manicures, facials, and massages. Now I definitely have a reason to go back before my color needs retouching. ;) Patrick gave me an all-over balayage and gloss to lighten things up. I have never seen such a natural dye job. No streaks or lines! Basically, I’m in love with my new look and I cannot wait to rock it all Fashion Week!
