Pink Leather Jacket + Erin Dana Choker

I met Erin Dana over a year ago at an event she hosted with my friend Lex of Lexicon of Style. I’ve told the story in a previous post, so short version, I won one of her leather backpacks in a raffle that night and have since been keeping my eye on her accessories line. It just keeps getting better and better, from leather belt bags to monogrammed chokers in every style. Erin even did a backpack design collab with Danielle Bernstein of We Wore What. Shea Marie of Peace Love Shea also wears her chokers on the reg. I won’t be the first to tell you, Erin Dana is definitely a designer to watch.

Erin actually had a pop-up choker bar this summer by the pool at the Dream Hotel where you could go and get leather chokers monogrammed on the spot. SO sad I was always working during the pop-up's hours, but I was still lucky enough to snag a choker from her new Fall collection, and I’m wearing it in these photos. I chose the brown suede choker with a gold monogram since I felt it would be a good basic to go with anything. The choker has an extra long tie closure that you can bring around to the front to give off an equestrian vibe, which will be the next way you see me wear it, but I decided to tie it back for this look.

I read fashion predictions all summer saying that the anklet was about to take over as the “it accessory," but I think it’s safe to say that chokers are not going anywhere. Even the girls who were previously intimidated by the choker trend are starting to get on board. I had to say goodbye to cold shoulders once Fall came along, but I’m going to just keep enjoying this choker craze and hope it never ends.
