Spin for Perfect Skin Cleansing Brush Review

Spin for Perfect Skin Cleansing Brush Review

As I'm reaching my mid twenties, I've slowly started to change up my skincare routine and treat my skin better. Of the things I took on to have healthier skin, my top three are moisturizing daily, exfoliating once a week, and taking off every stitch of makeup before bed. I've always done these steps using my hands, but I decided to give this Spin for Perfect Skin cleansing brush from My Life My Shop a try.

I received my Spin for Perfect Skin about a month ago, so my review is based on my experience during the time since. Probably one of the greater parts of the whole experience was opening the box to find four different types of brushes. There are two face brushes, each with a different bristle strength, a larger brush meant for the body, and a pumice stone for the feet.

Upon taking the Spin for Perfect Skin out of the package, I had two initial thoughts. One, I love this product already because it is completely waterproof and can be brought into the shower with you. Two, I really do not like that it is battery operated. It requires four double A’s and I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who no longer has batteries laying around the house. Hopefully the batteries will last a long time because I can imagine it getting annoying to replace them, but I won’t worry about that now.

After removing my eye makeup normally, I put some facewash on the softest brush and took the Spin for Perfect Skin to my full face of makeup. I was very surprised to find out just how gentle the brush is. I moved it in circular motions around my face and saw the brush quickly change colors as it picked up all the makeup and dirt. My skin instantly felt smoother and it felt so good to give my pores a deep cleaning. I don’t have very sensitive skin and the brush is extremely gentle, but in the same way that I wouldn’t exfoliate every day, I would also try to limit the use of this brush to a few times a week. I know that other people use their cleansing brushes daily, so this is merely coming from personal preference.

As much as I love the face brush, I think I like the body brush even more. I’ve never really taken the time or had the tools to exfoliate my body, but after I used the Spin for Perfect Skin, my skin felt so soft and smooth. I literally had to force myself to turn off the brush. It’s like an electric loofa that cleans 10x better.

The last brush I tried was the pumice stone. I usually avoid pedicures due to my ticklish nature, so I focused the stone on the heels of my feet. It definitely worked in removing dead skin, but it was very gentle which did not help with the tickling. I’m gonna learn to suck it up though now that I have the perfect tool for an at-home pedicure.

When it comes to this brush, people usually ask me how it compares to the Clarisonic. I have never used a Clarisonic so I cannot tell you how they compare, but I can tell you that I am very happy with my Spin for Perfect Skin cleansing brush and highly recommend it. The best part is that you can get yours or any other Vanity Planet face and body brush 70% off with my discount code! Just use the code LOUBOUTINSLOVE at checkout.
