Marissa Webb's Studio And The Nylon Magazine Express Event

Marissa Webb is a renowned fashion designer whom I recently had the opportunity to meet. A couple months back, I started receiving Instagram notifications that Marissa Webb and her team were liking and commenting on some of my photos. I had already been a fan of Marissa Webb's collections, but I immediately became her newest follower. Luckily I did, because a couple weeks ago, one of her photos popped up on my newsfeed announcing her very first sample sale. I commented that I would be stopping by and I received a reply that she and her team were excited to meet me! Likewise.

Marissa Webb was so sweet and I had a great time awing over the racks of clothing and stacks of shoe boxes around the studio.

I wished I could have stayed longer, but as I had dragged my cousin with me, after about 15 minutes, I decided it was time for us to move on to the Nylon Magazine event taking place in honor of the Express store grand opening.

At the Nylon event, there was the usual open bar, candy buffet, and photo booth - the photo booth being the biggest driving factor for me to attend. Ha. DJ Brittney Kernan played in the background as people talked and shopped. Nylon editors Rachael Wang and Mitsu Tsuchiya were also there. Unfortunately, I did not have the chance to meet either of them.

I did, however, have the chance to meet another one of my fashion blogger inspirations, Natalie Off Duty. I am a midget next to her.

I just really liked this fashionista's outfit.

When the event started dying down, my cousin and I decided it was time to head home. Fate had other plans; however, and on our walk to the subway, we passed an art gallery hosting a Supporting the Seed Project charity event. Obviously, we had to check it out and support the foundation. The walls were covered in really cool lifestyle photography by Sebastian Piras and it ended up being a great end to a long night.
