NYFW Pamella Roland Fashion Show Summer/Spring 2015
The Pamella Roland fashion show is always a beautiful display of elegant gowns and feminine looks. This season's collection was inspired by Japan and channels the Gardens of Kyoto. The Japanese influence can be easily recognized through Pamella Roland's use of obi belts, origami folds, and hand-painted floral motifs.
Her spring 2015 collection had a simple color palette and models were sent down the runway in color segmented groups. Off white looks bled into nude which then switched to pale pink, steel blue, silver, then black, finishing with a stark white wedding gown. My favorite looks were definitely from the assortment of blue dresses, particularly the knee length halter dress with the front cutout.
It was also fun to see Nigel Barker, who has not once missed the Pamella Roland show since I started attending.
