NYFW Chiara Boni Fashion Show Fall/Winter 2016
I wasn't sure I was gonna make it to the Chiara Boni show because my tolerance for waking up early slowly decreases every day of Fashion Week. I ended up making it with about 10 minutes to spare and even got a front row seat, which is dangerously becoming my new standard. I have yet to earn the spot, but I've been moving down almost every show and there is nothing quite like a front row view. You can see details on the clothing and best of all, the shoes! Even in second row, your view can sometimes be obstructed.
The show started with a mass of monochrome black and maroon leather looks. After the leather came the galaxy prints, peplum, zipper front matching jacket/skirt combos, chiffon trains, and star detailing. Each look had a perfectly corresponding pair of shoes, even periwinkle tweed heels to match periwinkle tweed dresses. I particularly loved the periwinkle pieces, especially the balloon bottom coat that may be more fashionable than flattering, but that would never stop me from wearing it.
