NYFW Jenny Packham Fashion Show Fall/Winter 2016

Hello, sequins! Jenny Packham's fashion show was definitely on the shiny side. Dresses were decorated in elaborate sequin designs and iridescent fringe. Jenny created an interesting juxtaposition pairing the fancy attire with western accents like chunky Louboutin booties and fringe jackets. There were a lot of jewel tones throughout the collection, purple, green, and yellow, as well as pops of red, colors that have been on repeat this Fashion Week. The models also rocked a lot of front slits, sheer pieces, and dots, more trends that have been seen on many a runway this season. This show was especially exciting because I walked into the venue and ran into Hilary Duff and Jennifer Morrison again. Having just seen them the night before at the Monique Lhuillier show, I recognized them both immediately and went over to chat. They were both very polite, but Hilary Duff seemed surprisingly sad and distant. I guess paparazzi will do that to you... The place was star studded, but unfortunately, my celebrity knowledge is lacking and I could not put any other names to faces. After getting my celebrity fix, Batsheva and I snagged front row seats which I had been eyeing for the last 20 minutes waiting to see if they'd fill up. There's absolutely nothing like a front row view so we got to admire the looks up close before going back to reality and the subzero temperatures waiting for us outside.
