NYFW Jay Godfrey Presentation Spring/Summer 2016
Happy Tuesday, loves! A special treat for you guys today--recapping the Jay Godfrey Womenswear SS16 collection from his presentation on Saturday at Pier59 Studios for New York Fashion Week! I'm not particularly familiar with this designer before I went to his presentation, but you better believe that I will be following his work closely from now on! I was given this amazing chance to attend his presentation by a blogger friend of mine, Louboutins & Love, who had RSVPd, but could not attend herself.
I am definitely feeling the "White Out" vibe from this collection--loving the simplicity and minimalistic feel of the overall presentation, which highlights the clean cut design of all the pieces!
Definitely lots of attention to detail when it comes to this collection--from the cut-out designs to the ruffles and pleated embellishments. I'm loving the different types of fabrics used, bringing different types of textures together for a cohesive presentation.
These minimalistic silver jewelry accents were the perfect compliment to these chic and simple pieces. In the words of Jay Godfrey, "Clean. Sensual. Modernist." I couldn't have described the collection better myself.
Instantly fell in love with Jay Godfrey's sheer high-low top! The minute I saw this model walking and the pleated details swaying with her movements, I knew: this was by far my favorite look.
No details were spared--from the footwear to eyewear to jewelry choices. A good reminder that good accessories can make or break an entire look.
Needless to say, the entire collection and presentation was absolutely flawless. Feeling truly inspired by this minimal vibe and the "less is more" motto. Hope you guys enjoyed my little recap, guest blogging for Louboutins & Love! Happy Fashion Week fashionistas,
